What is Seated Massage?

Seated Massage is quick and convenient it is a 15 minute seated massage performed through clothing. Clients sit on an ergonomically designed chair that provides them with maximum comfort and support. No oil is used and the massage focuses on the shoulders, the back, the neck, the head, the arms and the hands. It is easy to set up and does not require a substantial time commitment on behalf of the client. The mobile massage can be performed in the office, workplace or at events such as team building, exhibitions, product launches, or other corporate events. We offer two types of massage:

Seated Acupressure Massage

Seated Acupressure Massage, also known as chair massage is based on a traditional Japanese massage called Amma that works specifically on over 100 stress release points (acupressure points) of the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands.  It improves the flow of energy throughout the body as well as acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems to relax tense muscles and increase blood and lymphatic circulation.

Seated Acupressure Massage is particularly recommended for those who have a lot of knots in their shoulders and back as well as tension in their neck, arms and hands. Clients with sore shoulders, upper back and neck welcome the kneading and pressure in those areas.

The technique is such that the pressure applied can vary from strong to gentle according to your needs and preferences.

Clients often comment on how this massage can really “get to the knots”.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head and Shoulder Massage is derived from the Ayurvedic Medicine system of healing. It has been practised, over thousands of years, in India.
The application of Indian Head and Shoulder Massage involves the client sitting, fully clothed, on an appropriate chair. The therapist will use a variety of hands-on movements which include compression, kneading, stroking and even gentle tapping over the upper back, shoulders, neck, head, and face. The forearms and hands can also get attention.

Indian Head and shoulder massage is good for relieving stress, tensions, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. It also helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders. Thus improving blood circulation and lymphatic flow, freeing knots in the muscles. This aids the elimination of toxins and waste products from these tissues.
